As the world — if not the United States — moves from 3G to 4G wireless technology, a group of the top wireless equipment makers are banding together to help ensure the success of their technology: LTE. The seven companies will charge each other reasonable licensing fees for patents related to LTE, which faces a battle with WiMax.
